How To Get To Ajuy Caves

You can find Ajuy Caves in the village of the same name, located on the western side of Fuerteventura.

If you’re exploring the island with a rental car, you can easily reach the caves from anywhere on the island. There’s a free parking area right by the beach entrance in the village, which makes starting your visit simple and convenient.

From there, just walk along the black sand beach and follow the cliffs to reach the caves. The walk takes about 10 to 15 minutes at a relaxed pace. I walked it in the late afternoon, and the view of the wild Atlantic waves crashing against the rocks was something I won’t forget.

The route is easy and suitable for families with children, but it’s best to wear comfortable shoes as the path can be uneven in some spots.

You can also reach Ajuy by public transport. For example, you can take a bus from Costa Calma and arrive in less than an hour.
