With a car, you can explore both Abu Dhabi and Dubai at your own pace. Upon landing at the airport, you’ll find many rental companies, so the choice will be very wide.

If you rent a car upon arriving in Abu Dhabi, you can reach Dubai quickly and have several route options to choose from:

• Via Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan St/E10 and E11

The distance will be about 140 kilometers, and you’ll spend approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes on the journey if there are no traffic jams. This route is both the shortest and the fastest. The road is mostly straight, making it perfect for those who may be slightly apprehensive about driving in foreign countries. Keep in mind that toll fees will apply on this route.

• Via E11

The distance is slightly longer at 146 kilometers and takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes without traffic jams. Driving this route also involves paying toll fees.

• Via E22 and E11

This will be the longest route at 158 kilometers and will also take about 2 hours. Choosing this route involves paying toll fees as well.

By Bus

If you’re looking for the best route, take the E100 bus from Abu Dhabi’s central bus station. The journey will take about two hours and will not require any transfers. A bus ticket will cost up to €10 (25 AED). This route is ideal for minimal transfers, mobility issues, small children, or avoiding extensive walking. Additionally, the E100 bus runs every 20–30 minutes, so you won’t have to wait long. You can buy tickets at the bus station counters.

If you’re traveling from Abu Dhabi International Airport, take bus A15 for four stops, then transfer to the E102, which will take you to Al Jafiliya Bus Station in Dubai. From there, continue your journey based on your specific destination in Dubai.
